AfibAlert: A Long-Term Link to Your Patient
Secure a long-term link to your patient while improving patient management and clinical outcomes.
“The AfibAlert™ is a unique diagnostic option for atrial fibrillation; a heart arrhythmia that is continuing to grow in importance around the world.”
Robert Baker, M.D.
Las Vegas, Nevada
“AfibAlert™ is the answer to a population that we haven’t been able to deal with in the past.”
Richard Wakefield, M.D.

Current Applications
- Long-term, daily-use home monitor (several months) for post-ablation and maze patients to verify the efficacy of the procedure.
- Daily-use home monitor for verification of drug efficacy.
- Daily-use home monitor for rhythm control patients for verification, within 24 hours, of the onset of AF so cardioversion can be immediately initiated.
- Daily-use home monitor for post discharge CABG patients.
- Daily monitoring by patients who have, or are at risk of developing, AF.
- As a traditional post-symptom cardiac event monitor.
- Screening device for INR clinics to verify the presence, or absence of AF.
- Screening device for AF at community health screenings. (Stroke Clinics, BP screenings, etc.)
Connect With Your Patients
As a physician, you are aware of the increase of patients who suffer from Atrial Fibrillation (AF or afib) and the importance of detecting afib as early as possible. For the first time, physicians and patients can work together to detect AF recurrences.
Intermittent Self-Testing at Home
The AfibAlert is a take-home device that is intended as a supplementary tool for physicians with patients who experience AF on a transient basis, or have a history of CABG, ablation, cardiac abnormalities or are taking antiarrhythmic drugs. Patients can test themselves daily and transmit the data so you have a clear image of their ECG data and can make informed treatment decisions. A 45-second diagnostic-quality rhythm strip is recorded and can be viewed and/or printed. A PDF file can also be saved and imported into EMR database. Click here for sample report.
Taking care of your patient’s heart health.
Know within 24 hours of the onset of AF, regardless of whether the patient is symptomatic or asymptomatic. With this information, cardioversion or other treatment options can be immediately initiated.
The AfibAlert has potential widespread application.
- Patients who experience occasional AF episodes may no longer need long-term medication because new events are quickly detected and treated.
- Nursing homes and non-monitored hospital floors can use the device when taking vital signs to determine if elderly patients have developed atrial fibrillation.
- 20-40% of the 100,000 coronary artery bypasses performed on patients each year develop post-operative afib. Now physicians can be assured that when sinus rhythm is restored, it is maintained.
